Rehab 4 Addiction

Rehab 4 Addiction is a national helpline that exists to help people locate suitable drug and alcohol rehab treatment. We advise addicts and their family members, and we assist well over 10,000 people each year.

If you live in Blackpool, you may benefit from our free helpline by contacting us today on 0800 140 4690.

Blackpool and the surrounding area is home to many residential and outpatient rehab providers. Some rehabs will be more suitable than others when it comes to offering treatment that suited to your needs.

At Rehab 4 Addiction, our key aim is to ensure we only recommend rehab providers that we feel are most suited to helping you realise your recovery goals.

To help us achieve this aim, we carry out a quick assessment when you contact us. Once this assessment is complete, we will then list a number of rehabs both in Blackpool and across Lancashire that we deem suitable for your individual needs.

In this way, Rehab 4 Addiction has assisted thousands of people affected by addiction. We invite you to contact us. When you contact us, we are able to organise your immediate admission into a rehab clinic.

There will be no formal application to make, and you will not be required to submit to a lengthy and frustrating weighting list that’s often the case when you opt for NHS or council-funded addiction treatment.

Will I receive a detox at a drug and alcohol rehab in Blackpool?

If you are addicted to a physically addicted substance, you will need to undergo a medically assisted detox programme. Before your detox begins, you will be psychiatrically assessed.

A medical doctor will prescribe you with medication that helps to eliminate withdrawal symptoms.

A detox will last for between 5 and 7 days, depending on the severity of your addiction. Some opiate detoxes may require even longer, lasting up to 21 days. The average alcohol detox will require no longer than 7 days to complete.

What is outpatient rehab and what is inpatient rehab?

Outpatient rehab is when you attend a rehab clinic during the day, but you will return home at the end of the day. Inpatient rehab is when you remain with the rehab clinic both during the day and during the night.

Outpatient rehab is suitable for those of you who do not require a detox. Outpatient rehab may be less suitable if you require a detox because you will require 24/7 medical attention during this period. However, it is possible to undergo outpatient detox with more limited medical supervision.

If you do not require a medically assisted detox, you may be still advised to undergo treatment at a residential rehab clinic. Why? Because attending a residential rehab means you will be shielded from bad influences and temptation.

Because outpatient rehab allows you to return home during the evening, it’s easy to resume your drug or alcohol use because there won’t be any physical barriers preventing you from doing so.

In terms of therapy and counselling sessions, both inpatient and outpatient rehab offer similar benefits. Both offer group and individual therapy sessions. Inpatient rehabs also offer holistic therapies such as yoga, meditation and acupuncture.

Holistic therapies are rarely available at outpatient rehab providers, although this may change in the future because of research pointing to the fact that holistic therapies are highly beneficial in helping people to overcome addiction.

Many residential or inpatient rehabs also offer a hybrid approach. Here, you will undergo an inpatient rehab for around a 28-day period. Once 28 days have lapsed, you will return to your home.

However, you will continue to return to the residential rehab on an outpatient basis, generally at weekends. This allows you to fit outpatient treatment sessions in with other responsibilities such as childcare or working.

What is the first step I need to take?

If you have read the above, you will probably be itching to learn about gaining entry into a drug or alcohol rehab in Blackpool. It’s important to review the various treatment options available to you without rushing. If you select a poorly suited rehab, it’s likely your treatment will not succeed.
