There is no easy route to recovery. Though it may be tempting to consider simpler and faster options for addiction treatment, professional care and rehabilitation is the most effective way to a substance-free life.

Here at Rehab 4 Addiction, we can help get you there. Our job is to coordinate with our network of rehab centres and outpatient clinics across the country, and find you the care that you need.

We work hard to match the needs of all of our clients to the treatment that will be most beneficial for them, and we create bespoke treatment plans for individuals to follow during rehabilitation.

We understand that at this time you may be feeling scared, anxious and nervous about what lies ahead of you on your journey to recovery, but a drug and alcohol rehab in West Ham may just be what you are looking for, and most importantly, what you desperately need.

So act now, and call us on 0800 140 4690 to begin an enquiry for yourself, or for any more information on how we can assist you.

What happens in rehab?

It is understandable to fear the unknown, and, thanks to many inaccurate and negative portrayals of rehab on-screen and online, many people have a warped sense of what to expect of rehab.

By breaking down the general processes that take place in rehab and letting our clients know more about what to expect, we hope to dispel some of the inaccuracies spread via TV shows and films.

1. Getting comfortable

When you first enter your chosen rehab, you will be greeted by the team and welcomed into a warm and friendly environment. You may be shown around the facility as it will be your new home for the next few weeks.

Take this time to get comfortable in the space, and maybe get to know the staff that will be looking after you.

2. Assessment

During the admissions process, you will have undergone a quick assessment – usually over the phone – to give us a clearer understanding of your situation. We will have discussed you and your addiction in detail in order to determine what your personal needs are. This information – which remains 100% confidential – is used to help us narrow down your treatment options, and will be part of the reason why you are now in rehab.

After settling in, you may meet with a doctor who will perform a secondary assessment of you. This will further evaluate the state of your physical and psychological health, and will again help us decide the finer details of your treatment plan.

3. Drug and alcohol detox

If you have not undergone one already, it is likely that at this time you will experience a full detox from drugs or alcohol. Though this can be a daunting step on the road to recovery, it is a necessary and important one to take. A drug and alcohol detox will flush toxins left behind by substances from your system, and will allow you and your body to begin treatment on a ‘clean slate’.

At this time you are likely to experience a number of withdrawal symptoms. These can include nausea, headaches, muscle pain, dizziness, fatigue and mood swings. Rest assured that these are normal and expected during the detox phase of treatment and that the team at your chosen rehab will be equipped to handle them. You may be prescribed medication to ease the symptoms if necessary.

4. Treatment

After your detox, it will be time to begin the main bulk of your treatment: Therapy and counselling. This will continue throughout the duration of your stay in rehab.

Due to each clients treatment plan being decided by the earlier mentioned assessments, we do not at this time know for certain which treatments you are likely to need.

However, some of the most common methods of treatment include:

Through these various forms of therapy, you can hope to gain a better understanding of yourself and your addiction, identify your personal triggers, learn how to avoid them, discover new coping techniques to replace the old ones, and generally prepare for your life back home after rehab.

Leaving rehab

When you eventually leave rehab, Rehab 4 Addiction will still be available to you if you need us.

Our 24/7 helpline is always open for questions, concerns or advice, and additional appointments can be made for you at your chosen clinic if they are needed.

You will receive a detailed aftercare plan that will be your guide to living your new substance-free life, but if you do need us at any point during your recovery, do not hesitate to get back in touch.
