Rehab 4 Addiction

When attempting to cease their alcohol or drug abuse, some people may go through several failed attempts before they enter long-term recovery.

For many of these people, it may have involved simply abstaining, and attempting to stay away from drugs or alcohol through sheer willpower.

However, if the underlying causes of addiction are not treated, it is likely that, eventually, that person will find themselves back in addiction.

Treating addiction requires a multi-faceted approach – it is not as simple as just stopping and powering through cravings.

In order to have a good chance of long-term recovery, there is a need to get to the bottom of the problems that are causing addiction in the first place, through extensive treatment and therapy.

This is on top of going through detox, recovering physically, and planning for ongoing recovery. You can do all these things within the same building at rehab.

Finding rehab in Tiverton

head to head

One of the biggest obstacles in people getting the help that they need is lingering in denial that they have an addiction in the first place.

Once you have got past this and decided that you are ready to take on the challenge of rehab, we can make the process of getting there as easy as possible.

We utilise our expertise in rehab centres across the country, in order to get you into the rehab centre that is right for you, and your set of needs.

This is something that should be emphasised – rehab is not the same for everyone, and there is a great deal of personalisation that takes place.

Wherever you end up going for rehab, one of the first things you will do once you get there is to put together a personalised treatment plan.

It will take into account the profile of your addiction – for example, how long you have been in substance abuse, and any aggravating psychological factors or life circumstances that you may have.

We take a similar approach in our initial consultation, once you have called us on 0800 140 4690. In order to pick out the right place for you, we will need to get more information about your circumstances.

We treat all information given with the strictest of confidence, and will not pass on your information to any third party without your informed consent.

We understand that the area of addiction is a deeply personal subject, and something that most people want to keep private – we fully respect that.

Once we have enough information, we will be able to make a recommendation and refer you there as soon as possible.

We can provide guidance and advice, answer any questions you have, and offer full transparency on costing. We currently refer only to private rehab facilities, which means that you will not have to wait on a list for treatment – you will be able to be seen as quickly as possible.

Outpatient vs Residential rehab

In some cases, it may be possible to attend rehab as an outpatient. This is something that will be determined through your assessment, and further correspondence with the rehab centre on your behalf.

In most cases, it is recommended that service users attend rehab as inpatients – in other words, staying overnight at the facility for the duration of their stay.

This means that the person can have around-the-clock access to care, as well as the advantage of being in an environment that is fully dedicated to the treatment of addiction.

However, if a person has an addiction that is not as severe, is within travelling distance, and has a stable home life, there may be the possibility of outpatient care.

In order for that to be determined, you will first have to call us and go through your initial assessment.

Treatment in rehab

Your programme of treatment in rehab will combine traditional therapies, such as counselling, group therapy, and CBT, with other varied activities such as meditation, yoga, and other forms of exercise.

You will be able to work through your issues, heal your body, and become better educated on addiction and mental health as a whole. This kind of varied, comprehensive treatment is why rehab is so successful in getting people into long-term recovery.

You will also be encouraged to focus on what happens once you leave – in other words, how to maximise your chances of staying sober and healthy once you have left the safe haven of rehab.

You will use everything you have learned at rehab to do this and put those ideas on paper in a detailed relapse prevention plan. After all, your new life in recovery begins the moment you leave the building on your last day at rehab.
